Nature Pal Exchange is excited to announce the third Fall exchange! By signing up you are committing to send a package filled with nature finds from your area to the family you are paired with (one time commitment). Please have your packaged mailed out by October 23, 2017.
Each round we donate a portion of the participation fees to an amazing organization that strives to serve and make an difference in the lives of those in need. Our hearts broke for all those impacted by the recent hurricanes so NPE thoughtfully decided an organization that mobilizes and helps when natural disasters are on their way. Here’s a snip from First Response Team of America’s website. Be sure to check out their website!
“When all hope seems lost, when confusion reigns, when the only thought on a survivor’s mind is, “What now?”‚ that’s the moment the First Response Team arrives, bringing new light to communities in their darkest hours. We fill the gap between the onset of a disaster and the arrival of traditional relief agencies, when too many communities must fend for themselves because the resources necessary for rescue and recovery‚ equipment, tools and personnel‚ are damaged, inaccessible or unavailable.
By studying weather patterns and communicating with leading meteorologists, we’re able to anticipate when and where the next disaster may hit. We position our rapid response team near storm locations nationwide and, when alerted to potential disaster, deploy immediately with our fleet of more than $1 million in specialized disaster response equipment. Our goal is to arrive in the crucial moments following the catastrophe, and our mission is to reduce the time it takes for help to reach those in need‚ so we can join local first responders in saving lives and restoring hope.”
After making your purchase you will receive an email with a link to a form. Be sure to click the link and complete the form so we will have the necessary information we need to pair you with another family. We cannot pair you without this information*.
Be thoughtful of what you are sending. No one likes to receive a package filled with just a few sticks and leaves. NO ONE! Rule of thumb – is this something my own family would enjoy receiving. Take pride in what you mail. We suggest that you include 12 items – enough to fill an egg crate.
Be careful of what you are sending. We strongly believe in being a good steward of our beautiful planet. As you are collecting be sure to follow all safe collecting and mailing rules found on our about page.
Be creative with your package. You could include handmade crafts or cards. A letter that tells a little about your region. We hope that your box will give your pal a view of the nature that is found in your area.
We are only open to families with children living at home (U.S. & Canadian residents only). For more information on how the exchange works please visit our about page.
The purchase of this listing is for your participation fee. Packaging materials and shipping fees are the responsibility of participants. Participation fees are NOT tax deductible.
*All forms must be filled out be October 9, 2017. If you purchase the participation fee but do not complete the form you will forfeit the fee and will not be partnered for the autumn exchange.
