One touch of nature makes the whole world kin. William Shakespeare
Spring is here! With it has come new life and new opportunities to adventure, learn, and grow! After a long Winter’s hibernation we are excited to kick off the 2016 Spring Nature Pal Exchange! Sign ups will be open Tuesday, March 29th – Saturday, April 1st.
If this is your first time participating, once we verify your $5 donation has been paid you will receive an email to fill out our participation questionnaire (this is not an automatic process, please wait 24hrs to receive it). Please be sure to fill out the questionnaire ASAP! We will then pair you up with a family in a different area and with similar aged children (if we can). This does take a bit of time on our part, so once we close sign ups it will take up to 2 weeks to have your pal info emailed out to you. During that time adventure, collect, and learn! This is an awesome opportunity for you to lead your children in activity that allows them to bless another family while learning and bonding with their own. We ask that you have your boxes prepared and mailed by Monday, May 2nd. If you think this deadline might be a problem we ask that you sit this round out. We promise there will be future rounds just like this one.
We encourage you to visit #naturepalexchange to see what others have mailed in past exchanges.
We are only open to families (U.S. & Canadian residents only) with children living at home. Remember this is an educational program geared towards families exploring and “meeting” new friends who live in another part of the country! As fun as it may seem for a class/teacher/nature group to sign up we ask that you do not. If you choose to participate you are only required to send 1 box this round. For important information on mailing guidelines we strongly advise you to visit our About Page.
We ask all participants to donate $5 for each exchange. The funds we raise for the 2016 Spring Exchange will be donated to support Royal Family Kids Camp. It’s an organization that helps local churches all over the United States hold summer camps for children in the foster care system. Giving them a week where they can just be kids. They get to swim, fish, do archery, arts and crafts, have tea parties, campfires, and at the end of the week they have a giant birthday party of all the campers. The day is filled with fun, cupcakes, and presents (some of the children never celebrate their birthday). If you want to find out more about the organization or hear past campers (now adults) tell about their experience at RFKC camps you can check out RoyalFamilyKids.org.
We are asking that you donate directly to our PayPal link below for this exchange. We are hoping this will eliminate the payment issues many of you had in the past. After we receive your donation we will send you a link with the signup form. Please allow 24 hours to receive your email.
